What NO1 Apparels Is About
NO1 Apparels is built for fans who love anime and want to wear something that represents that love without looking like an anime billboard.
We create subtle anime clothing and anime inspired clothing for people who grew up with these stories and still carry them, but prefer designs with emotional depth over loud graphics.
We create anime clothing that speaks mainly to fans of the series. You’ll only really get the reference if you’ve watched the anime. Otherwise, it just looks like a clean tee.
Every design encapsulates moments from anime that impacted us deeply. Moments that shaped how we see the world, taught us lessons, or stayed with us long after the episode ended. We translate those memories into wearable pieces so they’re never forgotten.
This is subtle anime merch made for everyday wear, where the meaning isn’t obvious at first glance, but unmistakable once you know. If you’ve ever searched for animeclothing hoping to find something that doesn’t feel over the top, this is probably what you were looking for.
If One Piece means something to you and you appreciate one piece anime merch that feels intentional rather than loud, you’ll love this blog post.
Our Relationship With One Piece
One Piece has been part of our lives for more than 16 years.
Not as something we casually watched.
Not as background noise.
It’s a story we grew up with.
Long before Gear 5, before hype cycles and clips flooding social media, One Piece was already telling stories about freedom, legacy, and choosing your own path even when it doesn’t align with what the world expects.
For the longest time, finding one piece clothing that reflected that depth felt almost impossible. Most designs leaned too heavily into loud graphics or fanservice and ended up feeling more like costumes than something you’d actually want to wear day to day.
A lot of apparel anime brands focus on being eye-catching first. For us, it’s always been about how a piece feels when you put it on and whether it still makes sense outside of an anime context.
Starting NO1 Apparels changed that.
The first One Piece clothing we ever owned was our own design, The Pirate Scream. After years of waiting, we finally had one piece apparel that represented what the series meant to us without needing to shout it out.
The Inspiration Behind Enemies of The Gods

There was a scene before Luffy’s Gear 5 reveal that made us stop the episode completely.
Not because it was flashy or dramatic, but because of how unexpected it felt. The reveal wasn’t clean or cinematic. It was messy, chaotic, and a little uncomfortable, which made it impossible to ignore.
The scene talked about how people who carried the initial “D” were once known as Enemies of the Gods. No long explanation. No dramatic speech. Just a few words on screen that completely reframed how we looked at the Will of D.
What really hit us was how the text itself looked. The kanji felt rough and almost aggressive, like it didn’t belong there at all. It wasn’t polished or carefully designed. It felt raw, like something that wasn’t meant to be accepted or celebrated openly, and that’s what made it resonate with us. In a strange way, it felt very streetwear. Messy, bold, and unapologetic.
We actually paused the episode just to take a photo of that frame.
That moment stuck with us because it felt like a reminder that while it’s completely okay to follow what’s expected of you, it’s also okay to question it. It’s okay to move differently, think differently, and carve out your own path even if it doesn’t fit neatly into what everyone else is doing.
Enemies of the Gods came from that exact moment. Not because we wanted to recreate the scene, but because we wanted to capture how it made us feel. That quiet reminder that choosing your own direction, even subtly, still matters.
This is subtle one piece merch for people who want designs that reference the anime without shouting it.
What We Hope You Carry With You
This design isn’t about proving anything.
It’s about remembering that you don’t always have to fit perfectly into what’s laid out for you. That following the rules and forging your own path don’t have to be opposites. And that sometimes, moving quietly in your own direction is enough.
You don’t need to explain it.
You don’t need validation.
If it resonates with you, that’s already enough.
