Cabin’s Kiss: A Subtle Attack on Titan Shirt Created With WallMaria

Cabin's Kiss design (front) inspired by Attack on Titan, oversized subtle anime T-shirt

Hello again!!!!!

We're really happy to be writing this blog today because we've kept this under wraps for such a long time and were really looking forward to be sharing this with all of you.
Let's dive into it!

The Heart of Our Latest AOT Design

At NO1 APPARELS, we have always believed that subtle anime clothing should feel like a story you can wear. Cabin’s Kiss reminded us why we started this brand in the first place. It is emotional, symbolic and shaped by the AOT community together with someone we trust deeply, WallMaria.

This design did not begin as a product idea. It began with the fans who have supported our journey into animeclothing and subtle storytelling from the very beginning

How a Simple Poll Became the Beginning of Everything

A few months ago, WallMaria posted a story poll asking her audience which Attack on Titan moment they most wanted to see on a T shirt. The answers were emotional and consistent.

• Mikasa holding Eren’s head
• Mikasa and Eren kissing
• Mikasa's Scarf
• The Cabin Scene

The moment we saw the poll gaining traction, we reached out to her. We have worked with WallMaria several times and we knew she was the right person to collaborate with if we wanted to create an Attack on Titan shirt that fans would feel connected to. She understands the emotional weight behind these scenes, and her community trusts her taste and storytelling.

From that point, this turned into more than just another piece of subtle anime merch. It became a project created for the community and shaped together with someone who shares the same love for the series.

Finding the Heart of the Design Through Classical Art

During the concept stage, we searched for a visual that captured the emotional core of Eren and Mikasa. Not a direct anime still, but a feeling. Something quiet, intimate and unforgettable. Something that would carry the weight of their final moment without being loud.

That was when we found the Romantic era painting “The Kiss” by Francesco Hayez.

The Kiss Painting By Francesco Hayez

In the painting, the man is leaning in for what feels like a final kiss before he has to leave. One of his feet is already placed on the stairs, which suggests he will step away the moment after. His outfit looks like he is dressed for a dangerous mission. Everything in the scene feels like a goodbye hidden inside an embrace.

This emotion felt almost identical to the dynamic between Eren and Mikasa. Gentle but devastating. Loving but inevitable. Soft but filled with the weight of everything that came before.

This balance matched exactly what we try to express in our subtle anime clothing, so we used the painting as the foundation for our Attack on Titan clothing concept.

Turning the Painting Into a Wearable Memory

Once the direction was set, we worked closely with WallMaria to bring the scene into the world of AOT. We exchanged sketches, symbolism ideas and early drafts, making sure the artwork felt emotionally accurate for fans.

Here are the choices that shaped Cabin’s Kiss.

• In the original painting, the man holds the woman’s head. We reversed this so Mikasa holds Eren’s head, which references the moment that every AOT fan remembers.

• Subtle red threads wrap around Eren’s neck. They are soft and symbolic rather than graphic.

• Both characters appear in their civilian outfits, grounding the design in who they were beneath the chaos.

• The entire scene is placed inside the cabin, the place where they lived peacefully for four years inside the Paths.

Some of the discussions that we had:

Every decision revolved around one goal.
Create an AOT shirt that feels like a memory.
Not a screenshot.
Not a poster.
Something quiet, meaningful and instantly recognisable to anyone who loves this story.

This is the heart of subtle anime merch.
We wanted Cabin’s Kiss to represent what fans look for in aot clothes, something emotionally grounded that still feels wearable every day

The Cabin’s Kiss Reveal

After months of sketches, symbolism notes, revisions and late night discussions, we finally reached the moment we have been waiting for. This is the first time we are sharing the completed artwork publicly (apart from Maria's post!) and we wanted to reveal it here in the place where the story behind it lives.

This is Cabin’s Kiss.
This is the memory you chose.
This is the scene that started from a poll and grew into a piece of subtle anime merch made for fans who understand the weight of this moment.

Every detail in this artwork carries intention. Mikasa’s posture. Eren’s expression. The quiet warmth inside the cabin. The soft red threads that hint at their fate. The inspiration from classical art woven into an Attack on Titan shirt that feels emotional rather than literal.

Here is the final design.

We hope you feel the same emotion we felt while creating it. Cabin’s Kiss is one of those pieces that reveals more the longer you look at it. AOT fans will recognise the symbolism immediately while non anime-fans will see a piece of art before anything else.

Why Cabin’s Kiss Represents Who We Are

NO1 APPARELS was created to offer fans a different kind of anime clothing. We wanted designs that are wearable and emotionally grounded. Cabin’s Kiss fits naturally into that vision.

It also strengthens our place within the apparel anime space, where fans look for pieces with deeper symbolism rather than loud character prints.

Cabin’s Kiss is for anyone who wants Attack on Titan clothing with meaning. It is for fans who prefer something subtle that still captures the full weight of the story.

The Drop Is Almost Here

Watching this design evolve from a simple poll to a fully realised artwork has been an unforgettable experience for our entire team. Cabin’s Kiss was shaped by WallMaria’s community and guided by her insight, and we are grateful for every part of the journey.

This project belongs to everyone who voted.
Everyone who shared the moment they wanted.
Everyone who still feels something when they think about Eren and Mikasa.

The official release for our collection of attack on titan merch (3 new designs!) will happen very soon. Cabin’s Kiss is set to drop on December 21st (tentatively), and we cannot wait to finally put this attack on titan t shirt into your hands.

This design carries a piece of all of us, and we hope you feel that when you wear it. Thank you for helping bring Cabin’s Kiss to life.

Love,
NO1 Team
